Its so fun to get away and spend time with eachother!
By far this is Carsons favorite day of the week, he loves the canyon.

I love to get the kids out of the house and away from the TV, they love the canyon and cant wait to get there everytime, I cant wait until spring so we can start going again.
The officers were amazing with the kids, Carson loved it!

Carson just made car noises like he was in a high speed chase!
Carson loved asking questions, they let him talk over the loud speaker.
I told him this was the only time I had better ever see him in the back of a cop car...he didnt get it...
It was so much fun having the police come and visit, Carson and Gavin learned alot.

As soon as Carson saw this outside the monkey house he was in LOVE I think he stopped at everyone and had a drink!
As usual Gavin was right there ready for his turn!
They added new horses and the boys loved the ride!
This was so fun because the weather was perfect and the animals were all right at the window interacting with people and very active!
They have some very interesting new signs at the Zoo but this was my favorite!
We decided to stick with the pretend tigers after we read that sign!
We had to get this picture, who doesnt have at least one of these pics of their kids!
After we looked at the animals we had cupcakes, we went to Walmart to get the cupcakes and they didnt have any boys ones so the lady asked Gavin his favorite color and he said green, then what he likes and he said cars. She made him green frosted cupcakes with orange frosing inside and cars on top, it was great!
and as you can tell they tasted SO GOOD!
Gavin was not as interested in opening his presents as he was in the train going by, Carson on the other hand could barely wait for Gavin to get them open! He got a Thomas the train and a new trainset, the first in our house!
Then of coarse we rode the train, both the boys had a blast and Im so glad we chose to do this for him instead of a party, it was the best! 
Gavin had his 2 year appointment and at 20 months he was still not on the weight chart but at his 24 month he was in the 8th percent, thats the first time EVER in his life he has been that high! He is 23 pounds 14.58 ounces. He is 34 1/4 inches tall and thats the 45% also the highest he has ever been. It was so great to see how excited EVERYONE in the office was when they found out how great he was doing, we also returned a fixture that has been in our house since he was 8 months old and that was the old medical scale we had to have to weigh him weekly at home. WHEW! It seems this is all over! Carson got his Kindergarten shots the same day and later had a rash all over his head and neck, they said it happens with the MMR, it looked like a measels rash, that was creepy!
He was always calm and relaxed, there was never really a time he was fussy.
In fact he was a sweet pea....I know cheesy but adorable!
And from moment 1 him and Carson were best friends, best buddies.
What a little blessing this soal is to our home!
Even though he smiles like 99% of the time even his sad faces make my laugh...

Gavin 1 year ago on his first birthday, having a birthday treat!
Its crazy to think this year started with a surgery to possibly diagnose a more serious disease and has ended with him at almost 100%! 
It was a long, fun year watching him grow!
His little personality has just popped over the last year he is a sweetie pie with a caring heart!
His lack of nutrition gave him a lack of hair which finally paid off when he won 
He has this way of making the funniest expressions and its like you can just read his mind!
His most recent interests are trains and puppies so for his 2nd birthday he got some new trains and inherited ALOT from family, they have been so much fun!
I am so thankful each and every day for Gavin, his personality is one of pure joy, he lights up a room. I have had so much fun watching him in the last year learn and grow, watching him learn about food and find foods he loves and foods he hates. I feel so blessed each day to have him in our home.
Here is Gavin on his Birthday! He is such a sweet spirit.
Happy 2nd Birthday to the most wonderful, sweet, and amazing boy! Gavin is such an amazing kid and has been through alot but even in the hard times when he was sick he wouldnt let it slow him down. He is a little sweetheart and always wants to help everyone around, even when Carson takes his toy and gets in trouble Gav will go give him the toy and sit in timeout with him to make him feel better. If someone is crying he is right there to try and help, I am so blessed to have this little guy. It was a tough 2 years but he has pulled through like a champ, I am so proud to be his mommy!
