Gavin is 3!

Well Its been awhile since I posted, alot has been going on! Check out my other blog for an update on Carson and where we are with his diagnosis.

Gavin is 3! It has been an amazing 3 years and I cannot say enough about this amazing little MAN! He is adorable and loving and so silly! We are so blessed to have him in our home and have the oppurtunity to know him. He is an incredible brother to Carson, and a wonderful little person. He asked for his own birthday party and loved having his preschool friends over for cake and Halloween fun!

After preschool we had Gavins party! We had pizza lunch, decorated Halloween pictures, made our own cupcakes, and went on a ghost hunt, it was a blast!

Gavin was so very happy about his party, I think he really needed to feel special and I know he did at his party!
Happy Birthday to my little guy, I am so proud of you, you are such a great, wonderful, amazing, boy! I cannot imagine not having you in our family, we need your smile, laughter and calming spirit!

Carson is 5!

Carson is 5! I know its crazy to think about. On the 18th he had a birthday party, a pirate party of coarse! His cake was pirates searching for treasure!

We used these treasure map plates and hunted for treasure! Our treasure was FRUIT SNACKS!

Pin the flag on the treasure!

We had a lot of fun with Carsons friends! From the left, at the end of the table is Emma with her mom, Devon at the top left, Kenner, Carson, Eli, at the bottom left is Maryanne (Emmas mom), Maelan and Cannon then Gavin.
The Candles all went out before he could blow them so we lit them again and then one would NOT blow out.

 BIG SMILES!
All of our friends having some cake!

This is our buddy Emma, she is a sweetie!
Playing pin the flag on the treasure map!

They played on the "Pirate Ship"
After the party Carson was pooped! Gavin found himself a friend and they rested on the couch! It was a lot of fun having a party!

Finally on Monday the 20th I decided we needed to do something fun, with just me and Carson. One of my friends watched Gavin and Carson and I went SWIMMING! It was so much fun! We bought some cotton candy and had a blast eating it together. Carson was laughing so hard.

Roar, this is him being SCARY!

After swimming we went to back to school night and met his teacher! She said they would celebrate his birthday on Wednesday, the first day of school. That night we went to FatCats and had pizza and games. It was a fun filled birthday! I am so proud to be his mommy, he is a strong and amazing kid. He has been through a lot in his little life but he is a strong kid with a great laugh and smile. I am amazed at him everyday, he works so hard and he loves making friends. I love you little Cars!

ITS DONE!

So at the first of the summer I said to Taron "Hey we should dig out that back section and put in a swing set. It sounded SO easy.....It only took us all summer long. Apparently digging out 6-8 inches of dirt is a lot more work than it sounds. Well I am HAPPY to say it is finally done and that I will never again attempt a similar task! So here it is, we are so happy with it and the boys are in love!

Dinosaur Museum!

So we had to take a trip to Nephi to watch my niece graduate, on our way home we stopped at the Dinosaur Museum at Thanksgiving Point. Well Gavin LOVES Cars and Carson LOVES Pirate but they both LOVE dinosaurs! The boys had the time of their lives, First we went into to science room and played with all sorts of cool science experiments. Once we got inside the museum the boys were so excited to see everything!

They loved the hands on exhibits, touching and investigating the fossils!

They loved looking at the bones! The exhibits were so fun for them, Gavin especially loved anything that looked like Rexi (T-rex).

They loved this room, it had a cave that they could crawl through. Carson had to show Gavin how because he was scared.

Gavin would get so excited over everything, he would jump and point and tell me all about everything he was seeing.

Gavin found a set of dinosaurs to play with and was intent on taking them all home, he was devastated to put them back.

This exhibit wanted you to touch and feel, Carson has a hard time with tactile discrimination so he would always peek at what he was touching in order to describe it and match it.

After we walked though the entire museum we found the sand and water play area, an entire room with sand, water, and little dinos. They were both in heaven they didnt ever want to leave. I was worried about sand getting in Gavins burn but he didnt seem to care at all.

The boys thought this was hilarious!
Then we found the digging and excavating exhibit, they got to use brushes to try and uncover dinosaur bones!

It was such a fun day, they boys really really enjoyed the dinosaur museum and so did I! It is a great memory that we will always share, I sure love these boys!
